  • 15 ounce .5 can cannellini beans canned
  • 15 ounce navy beans canned
  • 29 ounce tomato sauce canned
  • pound ditalini pasta 
  • 1.5 teaspoons basil dried
  • tablespoon parsley dried
  • cloves garlic minced
  • tablespoons olive oil 
  •  onion halved quartered
  • 1.5 teaspoons oregano dried
  • 0.3 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • teaspoon salt 
  • 5.5 cups water

Directions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, cook onion in olive oil until translucent. Stir in garlic and cook until tender. Reduce heat, and stir in tomato sauce, water, parsley, basil, oregano, salt, cannelini beans, navy beans and Parmesan. Simmer 1 hour.
  2. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.
  3. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain. Stir into soup.
