  • 0.8 cup buttermilk fat-free
  • 5.5 ounces flour all-purpose
  • 0.3 teaspoon cracked pepper black
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 45
  2. Lightly spoon flour into dry measuring cups; level with a knife.
  3. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl; stir well with a whisk.
  4. Cut in butter with a pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse meal.
  5. Add cheese; toss well to combine.
  6. Add buttermilk; stir just until moist. Drop dough into 8 equal mounds on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray.
  7. Bake at 450 for 13 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
