Ingredients

  • tablespoon double-acting baking powder 
  • cup banana ripe mashed
  • 0.5 cup butter softened
  •  eggs 
  • cups flour all-purpose
  • teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg 
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • cup sugar 
  • cup walnuts chopped
  • 0.3 cup milk whole

Directions

  1. Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl; stir well. Set aside.
  2. Beat butter at medium speed of an electric mixer until creamy; gradually add sugar, beating well.
  3. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
  4. Add banana and milk to creamed mixture; add to dry ingredients, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened. Stir in walnuts.
  5. Pour batter into a greased and floured 9- x 5- x 3-inch loafpan.
  6. Bake at 350 for 1 hour or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
  7. Let cool in pan 10 minutes; remove from pan, and let cool on a wire rack.
