Ingredients

  • cups bisquick mix 
  • 0.7 cup milk 
  • Tbsp sugar 
  •  eggs 
  •  baking apples are apples that have a sweet-tart balance and hold their shape when green cored peeled sliced
  • 0.3 cup bisquick mix 
  • 0.3 cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon 
  • Tbsp butter 

Equipment

  • toothpicks

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Grease 8" square pan or 9" round pan.
  3. Mix cake ingredients.
  4. Spread cake batter in pan. Insert apple slices into the batter evenly throughout the cake.
  5. Mix the topping ingredients of Bisquick, brown sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Spread topping mix over top of batter in pan.
  7. Add slices of butter all over the top.
  8. Bake 20 minutes or until golden brown, testing with a toothpick.
