  • teaspoon double-acting baking powder 
  • 0.3 teaspoon baking soda 
  • cup blueberries 
  • 0.5 cup butter 
  • teaspoon cinnamon 
  • large eggs 
  • 1.3 cups flour all-purpose
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar 
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar light
  • 0.5 cup yogurt plain low-fat
  • 0.5 teaspoon nutmeg 
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • teaspoon vanilla extract 
  • cup walnuts chopped

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 35
  2. In a large bowl, cream 1/2 cup butter with the granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
  3. In a medium bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir into butter mixture.
  4. Add yogurt and mix; gently stir in blueberries.
  5. In a small bowl, stir together the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and walnuts.
  6. Pour half the cake batter into a buttered and floured 8-inch square baking pan.
  7. Sprinkle with half the brown sugar mixture and top with the remaining batter.
  8. Combine the remaining brown sugar mixture with 2 tablespoons butter and sprinkle over the top of the batter.
  9. Bake until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean, about 45 minutes.
