Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds beef sirloin steak boneless lean
  • tablespoons brandy 
  • 0.5 cup beef broth ready-to-serve canned
  • cups extra wide egg noodles cooked
  • ounces mushroom caps fresh sliced
  • 0.3 cup butter melted
  • tablespoon paprika 
  • 0.5 cup pepper strips sweet red
  • 0.5 cup pepper strips sweet yellow
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • 0.3 cup shallots minced
  • cups cup heavy whipping cream sour
  • tablespoons vegetable oil

Directions

  1. Partially freeze steak; trim fat from steak. Slice steak diagonally across grain into 2- x 1/4-inch strips.
  2. Cook steak in 2 tablespoons hot oil in a large skillet over medium heat until browned.
  3. Remove steak from skillet; set aside, and keep warm.
  4. Saute mushrooms, peppers, and shallots in margarine in skillet over medium-high heat until tender.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Add brandy, and immediately ignite with a long match.
  7. Let flames die down.
  8. Combine sour cream and next 3 ingredients; add to vegetable mixture. Cook over medium-low heat 8 minutes, stirring frequently. Stir in steak, and cook until thoroughly heated. To serve, spoon steak mixture over noodles.
