  • 8.5 ounce bread french
  • 12  basil fresh
  • ounces mozzarella fresh cut into 1/4-inch slices
  • 16 ounce heirloom tomatoes cut into 1/2-inch slices
  • 0.3 teaspoon kosher salt 
  • tablespoon olive oil

Directions

  1. Preheat panini grill.
  2. Cut bread pieces in half horizontally.
  3. Brush uncut sides of halves evenly with oil.
  4. Layer bottom halves of bread evenly with tomato slices, cheese, and basil leaves.
  5. Sprinkle with pepper, salt, and, if desired, vinegar. Cover with top halves.
  6. Place sandwiches on panini grill; cook 2 minutes or until golden brown and cheese melts.
  7. Cut sandwiches in half, if desired.
