  • cup brown sugar packed
  • cup butter melted
  • tablespoons powdered sugar 
  • 24 ounces cream cheese softened
  •  eggs lightly beaten
  • 2.5 cups flour all-purpose
  • cup cup heavy whipping cream 
  • 0.5 teaspoon lemon zest grated
  • cup pecans chopped
  • 0.7 cup sugar 
  • 14 ounces condensed milk sweetened canned
  • 1.5 teaspoons vanilla extract

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, butter, pecans and confectioners' sugar. Press into an ungreased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish.
  2. Bake at 350° for 20-24 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on a wire rack.
  3. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  4. Add the milk, vanilla and lemon peel.
  5. Add eggs; beat on low speed just until combined.
  6. Pour over crust.
  7. Bake at 350° for 35-40 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool on a wire rack.
  8. In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar and cream. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes.
  9. Remove from the heat; stir in pecans and vanilla.
  10. Pour over cheesecake. Refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.
  11. Cut into squares.
