Ingredients

  • 0.3 cup butter 
  • 0.3 cup flour all-purpose
  • 0.8 teaspoon salt 
  • 0.1 teaspoon pepper 
  • 1.5 cups milk 
  • cup chicken broth 
  • cups roasted chicken cooked
  • 1.5 cups rice white cooked
  • cup mushrooms sliced
  • 0.3 cup bell pepper green chopped
  • 0.3 cup slivered almonds 
  • tablespoons pimientos chopped

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°.
  2. Melt margarine in 2-quart saucepan over medium heat. Stir in flour, salt and pepper. Cook, stirring constantly, until bubbly; remove from heat. Stir in milk and broth.
  3. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Stir in remaining ingredients.
  4. Pour into ungreased 2-quart casserole or square baking dish, 8x8x2 inches.
  5. Bake uncovered 40 to 45 minutes or until bubbly.
  6. Garnish with parsley sprig if desired.
