  • 0.5 teaspoon double-acting baking powder 
  • 0.8 teaspoon baking soda 
  • 0.3 cup buttermilk 
  •  eggs 
  • 0.8 cup flour 
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • 0.8 cup sugar 
  • 0.3 cup cocoa powder unsweetened
  • teaspoon vanilla extract 
  • tablespoons vegetable oil 
  • 0.3 cup water

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Line a cupcake tin with cupcake liners. In a large bowl, whisk together dry ingredients. In another bowl, whisk egg, water, buttermilk, vegetable oil and vanilla. Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients; mix batter until smooth, about 3 minutes.
  2. Fill each cup about 2/3 of the way.
  3. Bake, rotating pan halfway through baking, until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, 20 to 25 minutes for regular cupcakes and about 10 minutes for mini cupcakes.
  4. Let cool on wire rack.
