Ingredients

  • tablespoons butter divided
  • 1.5 cups crab meat cooked
  • tablespoons flour all-purpose
  • tablespoons parsley fresh chopped
  •  green onion chopped
  • servings garnish: additional green onion chopped
  • 0.3 cup bell pepper green finely chopped
  • cups half-and-half 
  • cup milk 
  • 1.5 cups mushrooms sliced
  • 0.3 cup onion finely chopped
  • 0.1 teaspoon pepper sauce hot
  • teaspoon salt 
  • tablespoons optional: sherry dry
  • 0.1 teaspoon pepper white

Directions

  1. Heat 4 tablespoons butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add next 5 ingredients and saut until soft.
  3. In a saucepan, heat remaining 2 tablespoons butter and stir in flour.
  4. Add milk and cook, stirring until thickened and smooth. Stir in salt, pepper and hot pepper sauce.
  5. Add sauted vegetables and half-and-half.
  6. Bring to a boil, stirring; reduce heat.
  7. Add crabmeat, simmer uncovered for 5 minutes. If desired, stir in sherry just prior to serving. Top with additional green onion.
