  • 0.5 cup butter divided
  • 0.3 cup cooking sherry dry
  • 0.3 cup flour all-purpose
  • ounce mushrooms fresh chopped
  • 0.3 cup parsley fresh chopped
  • 0.5 cup bell pepper green chopped
  •  green onions finely chopped
  • cups half-and-half 
  • teaspoon hot sauce 
  • 1.5 tablespoons lemon blend 
  • pound lump crab meat fresh drained
  • cups milk 
  • 0.5 cup onion chopped

Directions

  1. Melt 1/4 cup butter in a large saucepan over medium-high heat; add onion and next 4 ingredients. Cook, stirring often, 5 minutes or until tender.
  2. Remove from pan; set aside.
  3. Melt remaining butter in same saucepan over low heat; add flour, stirring until smooth. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually stir in milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly. Stir in onion mixture, Lemon Blend, hot sauce, and half-and-half. Bring to a boil, stirring often. Reduce heat; stir in crabmeat. Simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes, stirring often. Stir in sherry, and serve immediately.
