Ingredients

  • cups breadcrumbs divided soft
  • 1.5 cups butter divided melted
  • large eggs 
  • cup parsley fresh chopped
  • 1.5 cups green onions chopped
  • 0.3 teaspoon ground nutmeg 
  • 0.3 cup juice of lemon fresh
  • tablespoons lemon rind grated
  • pound lump crab meat fresh drained
  • 0.3 teaspoon pepper freshly ground
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Combine first 6 ingredients in a large bowl.
  2. Add 1 cup melted butter, 4 cups breadcrumbs, and next 3 ingredients. Spoon crabmeat mixture into 10 baking shells or individual baking dishes.
  3. Top servings evenly with remaining 1 cup breadcrumbs; drizzle evenly with remaining 1/2 cup melted butter.
  4. Bake, uncovered, at 400 for 20 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Turn oven setting to broil. Broil 3 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. Serve immediately.
