  • 20 oz bread baguette french thinly sliced
  • tablespoons butter melted
  •  garlic clove pressed
  • large hard-cooked eggs grated
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise 
  • 0.3 teaspoon pepper freshly ground
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • 0.5 teaspoon sugar

Directions

  1. Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet. Stir together butter and garlic; brush evenly on tops of baguette slices.
  2. Bake at 350 for 10 to 12 minutes.
  3. Let stand 20 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, combine hard-cooked eggs and next 4 ingredients in a large bowl. Cover and chill at least 15 minutes or up to 2 days.
  5. Spoon egg mixture evenly on toasted baguette slices.
