Ingredients

  • oz pasta like spaghetti uncooked
  • tablespoons butter 
  • 0.3 cup onion chopped
  • 0.3 cup bell pepper green chopped
  • 4.5 oz mushrooms drained sliced
  • lb broccoli frozen
  • lb andouille smoked cut into 1/2-inch slices
  • teaspoons oregano dried
  • 0.3 teaspoon garlic powder 
  • 0.3 cup parmesan cheese grated

Equipment

  • frying pan
  • sauce pan

Directions

  1. Cook vermicelli to desired doneness as directed on package.
  2. Drain; rinse with hot water. Return to saucepan. Stir in 1 tablespoon of the margarine. Cover to keep warm.
  3. Meanwhile, melt remaining 3 tablespoons margarine in large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add onion, bell pepper, mushrooms and broccoli; cook about 5 minutes or until broccoli is thawed, stirring frequently.
  5. Reduce heat to medium.
  6. Add sausage, oregano and garlic powder; mix well. Cook about 5 minutes or until thoroughly heated, stirring occasionally.
  7. Place warm vermicelli on serving platter. Top with sausage and vegetable mixture.
  8. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
