  • 0.1 teaspoon pepper black
  • 6.5 ounce clams undrained chopped canned
  • tablespoons flour all-purpose
  • 16 ounce bread french cut in half horizontally
  • tablespoons parsley fresh chopped
  • ounce sausage sweet italian
  • 0.5 cup milk 1% low-fat
  • 1.5 cups mushrooms sliced
  • 0.5 teaspoon oregano dried
  • ounces parmesan fresh divided grated

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 40
  2. Remove casing from sausage. Cook sausage in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat until browned, stirring to crumble.

  4. Add the mushrooms, milk, oregano, pepper, and clams; bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat; simmer 5 minutes or until thick.
  5. Remove from heat. Stir in 1/2 cup cheese.
  6. Place bread halves on a baking sheet; spread clam mixture evenly over cut sides of bread.
  7. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup cheese and parsley.
  8. Bake at 400 for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Cut each half into 3 pieces.
