  • 14 ounce artichoke hearts drained cut into 1/4-inch slices canned
  • 0.3 teaspoon pepper black freshly ground
  • 15.5 ounce cannellini beans rinsed drained canned
  • 0.3 cup basil fresh finely chopped
  •  garlic clove minced
  • ounces gemelli uncooked
  • tablespoon olive oil 
  • cups onion thinly sliced ( 2)
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • tablespoons pre-shredded parmesan cheese fresh

Directions

  2. Add onion and cook, stirring occasionally, 12 minutes or until golden brown.

  4. Cook pasta according to package directions, omitting salt and fat.
  5. Drain, reserving 1/3 cup cooking liquid.
  6. Combine pasta, onion mixture, reserved cooking liquid, and remaining ingredients in a large bowl. Toss well.
