  • tablespoon double-acting baking powder 
  •  eggs lightly beaten
  •  egg whites 
  • cups flour all-purpose
  • teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cloves 
  • teaspoon ground ginger 
  • 12 servings creamy maple topping 
  • 0.3 cup blackstrap molasses 
  • cup skim milk 
  • tablespoons vegetable oil

Directions

  1. Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl; make a well in center of mixture.
  2. Combine milk, molasses, oil, egg, and egg whites; add to dry ingredients, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
  3. For each pancake, pour 1/4 cup batter onto a hot griddle or skillet coated with cooking spray. Cook pancakes until tops are covered with bubbles and edges look cooked; turn and cook other side. Top each pancake with 2 tablespoons Creamy Maple Topping.
  4. Garnish with fresh strawberries, if desired.
