Ingredients

  • 0.8 cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.8 cup butter softened
  • 0.5 teaspoon cinnamon 
  • 0.5 cup blackstrap molasses dark
  •  eggs 
  • 2.7 cups flour all-purpose
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground allspice 
  • teaspoons ground ginger 
  • 0.5 teaspoon nutmeg 
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, blend together butter and brown sugar until fluffy.
  2. Add egg and molasses.
  3. In a seperate bowl, combine remaining ingredients; gradually stir into butter mixture. Turn dough out onto well-floured surface; roll out to 1/8-inch thickness.
  4. Cut dough with a 2-inch gingerbread man cookie cutter.
  5. Place on a greased baking sheet.
  6. Bake at 350 for 9 to 10 minutes, or until firm.
