  • teaspoons double-acting baking powder 
  • 0.5 cup amber beer dark
  • tablespoons butter melted
  • 0.3 cup buttermilk 
  •  eggs 
  • 1.3 cups flour all-purpose
  • 0.5 cup milk 
  • tablespoon blackstrap molasses 
  • teaspoon pumpkin pie spice freshly ground (or cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and nutmeg)
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • tablespoons sugar

Directions

  1. Whisk together first 5 ingredients in a large bowl.
  2. Combine milk and next 5 ingredients in a separate bowl, and whisk until slightly frothy; add to flour mixture, and whisk just until blended.
  3. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of batter onto a hot, lightly greased griddle or nonstick pan. Cook until pancakes are covered with bubbles and edges turn brown. Turn and cook other side 2 minutes or until golden brown.
