Ingredients

  • 0.3 cup butter 
  • 2.5 cups colby cheese shredded
  • ounces ham julienned cooked
  • ounces farfalle pasta (bow tie)
  • 0.3 cup flour all-purpose
  • clove garlic minced
  • 0.1 teaspoon ground pepper black
  • cups milk 
  • 0.5 teaspoon mustard prepared
  • 0.3 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.
  3. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
  4. In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt butter.
  5. Saute garlic 30 seconds.
  6. Whisk in flour, salt and pepper. Cook and stir until smooth.
  7. Pour in milk, a little at a time, stirring constantly. Bring to a boil for 1 minute. Stir in mustard and Colby. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until cheese is melted.
  8. Remove from heat and stir in pasta and ham.
  9. Pour into a 2 quart baking dish.
  10. Sprinkle with Parmesan.
  11. Bake 20 to 25 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
