Ingredients

  • 3.5 cups apples chopped
  • cup firmly brown sugar packed
  • 0.5 cup butter cold (1 stick)
  • oz philadelphia cream cheese softened
  •  eggs beaten
  • cups flour 
  • 0.8 cup granulated sugar divided
  • 1.5 tsp ground cinnamon 
  • Tbsp milk 
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla 
  • cup planters walnuts chopped

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Mix flour, brown sugar, 1/2 cup of the granulated sugar and the cinnamon; cut in butter using pastry blender or two knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in walnuts. Reserve 2 cups of the crumb mixture for topping; press remaining crumb mixture firmly onto bottom of 13x9-inch baking pan.
  3. Beat cream cheese and milk with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended.
  4. Add remaining 1/4 cup granulated sugar, the egg and vanilla; mix well.
  5. Pour over crust. Top with apples; sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture.
  6. Bake 30 min. Cool completely.
  7. Cut into 32 bars to serve. Store in tightly covered container in refrigerator.
