Looking for a delicious and easy-to-make lunch or dinner option? Look no further than these Herb-Marinated Fresh Mozzarella Wraps! This delightful recipe is not only packed with flavor but also comes together in just 45 minutes, making it perfect for a quick meal any day of the week. With a serving size of four, it's great for a family dinner or a casual get-together with friends.

Each wrap is a delightful balance of textures and flavors, featuring the crunch of fresh, steamed asparagus, the savory taste of thinly sliced pepper ham, and the creamy goodness of marinated mozzarella cheese. The marinade, a vibrant blend of fresh basil, chives, oregano, and olive oil, infuses the mozzarella with a Mediterranean twist that complements the other ingredients beautifully.

The use of fat-free flour tortillas keeps these wraps light and allows the flavors of the fillings to shine through. And don't worry about the preparation time – while the marinade is best if allowed to chill for a couple of hours, you can assemble the wraps up to four hours in advance, making this a great option for entertaining or a busy weeknight.

Whether you're a fan of hearty lunches, a savory main course, or just looking to try something new, these Herb-Marinated Fresh Mozzarella Wraps are sure to impress. So why not give them a try and add a new favorite to your recipe collection?

Ingredients

  • 0.3 pound asparagus chilled steamed
  • 8-inch flour tortilla fat-free ()
  • tablespoons basil fresh chopped
  • tablespoon chives fresh chopped
  • 0.3 pound ham thinly sliced
  • tablespoons kalamata olives pitted chopped
  • ounces mozzarella fresh diced
  • teaspoon olive oil
  • tablespoon oregano fresh chopped

Equipment

  • bowl

Directions

  1. Combine the first 6 ingredients in a medium bowl. Cover and chill 2 hours.
  2. Arrange 1 ounce of ham and 4 asparagus spears on each tortilla. Spoon about 1/3 cup cheese mixture over the asparagus, and roll up.
  3. Note: These wraps may be assembled up to 4 hours in advance, though the tortillas will begin to absorb moisture if prepared too far in advance. Pepper ham is available in the deli section of most supermarkets. If you are unable to find it, substitute regular ham, and add 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper to the cheese as it marinates.
