  • tablespoons canola oil 
  • cups chicken meat cooked finely chopped
  • tablespoons flour all-purpose
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder 
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground pepper black
  • cups milk 
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • tablespoons sugar white

    Directions

    1. Make a white sauce of milk or cream, flour, and oil.
    2. Add chicken.
    3. Add sugar, salt, pepper, and garlic powder (may use more or less as desired).
    4. Mix well and simmer for 20 minutes over low heat.
    5. If soup is not as thick as desired, mix a small amount of cornstarch with a small amount of water and add to soup. Simmer for 10 minutes.
