  • 1.5 teaspoons double-acting baking powder 
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • large eggs separated room temperature
  • cups buttermilk room temperature
  • tablespoons butter unsalted melted plus more for waffle iron (1 stick)
  •  vanilla pod split

Directions

  1. Grease waffle iron with a small amount of melted butter, and heat. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.

  3. Pour into dry mixture, and combine.
