Ingredients

  • 0.5 teaspoon double-acting baking powder 
  • tablespoons butter 
  • 0.3 cup powdered sugar for decoration
  • 0.5 cup dates pitted chopped
  •  eggs 
  • 0.8 cup flour all-purpose
  • 0.5 cup honey 
  • pinch salt 
  • 0.5 cup walnut pieces chopped

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Butter an 8-inch square cake pan.
  2. Melt the butter over low heat and pour into a large mixing bowl.

  4. Mix in the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Mix in the walnuts and dates.
  6. Spread batter in pan
  7. Bake for 25 minutes in the preheated oven, or until light brown.
  8. Let cool for 5 to 10 minutes.
  9. Cut into bars and roll in confectioners' sugar.
