Ingredients

  • cups broccoli florets frozen 100% thawed
  • lb sausage meat italian
  • 0.5 teaspoon basil dried
  •  eggs 
  •  muffins split english cut into large cubes ( 5 cups)
  • 1.5 cups mild cheddar cheese shredded finely
  • 2.5 cups milk 
  • 0.5 cup parmesan fresh shredded
  • 0.5 cup bell pepper red chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Spray 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Brown sausage in large skillet over medium heat until no longer pink, stirring frequently.
  2. Drain.
  3. Add broccoli and bell pepper; cook and stir 2 to 3 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender.
  4. Place English muffin cubes in sprayed baking dish. Top with sausage mixture.
  5. Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese.
  6. Beat eggs in large bowl.
  7. Add milk, salt and basil; beat well.
  8. Pour over sausage mixture.
  9. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Cover; refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.
  10. Heat oven to 350F. Uncover baking dish; bake 40 to 45 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
  11. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
