Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup almonds sliced
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar 
  • 0.3 cup canola oil 
  • 0.5 cup ground flaxseed 
  • teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • 0.3 cup honey 
  • 0.5 cup pecans chopped
  • 0.5 cup sunflower seeds raw
  • cups rolled oats 
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt 
  • teaspoon vanilla extract 
  • 0.5 cup water 
  • cup wheat germ

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the oats, wheat germ, flax seed meal, brown sugar, sunflower seeds, pecans, almonds, cinnamon and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together the oil, honey, vanilla and water.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients over the dry, and mix until evenly blended.
  4. Spread in a greased 9x13 or 11x7 inch baking pan.
  5. Bake for 1 hour in the preheated oven, stirring every 20 minutes, or until toasted.
  6. Let cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
