Ingredients

  • 0.5 teaspoon double-acting baking powder 
  • 0.5 cup butter melted
  • 12 servings powdered sugar 
  •  eggs 
  • tablespoons flour all-purpose
  • tablespoons juice of lemon 
  • teaspoons lemon zest grated
  • tablespoons macadamia nuts chopped
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • cup sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, mix flour, confectioners' sugar and melted butter until crumbly; stir in nuts. Press onto bottom and 1/2 in. up sides of a greased 8-in.-square baking dish.
  2. Bake 15-20 minutes or until light brown.
  3. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, whisk sugar, flour, baking powder and salt. Beat in eggs, lemon juice and lemon peel until blended.
  4. Pour over hot crust.
  5. Sprinkle with nuts.
  6. Bake 10-15 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely on a wire rack.
  7. Cut into bars.
  8. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar. Refrigerate leftovers.
