  • teaspoon baking soda 
  • cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.5 cup butter softened
  • 0.5 cup butter shortening flavored
  • cup creamy peanut butter 
  •  eggs 
  • 2.5 cups flour all-purpose
  • teaspoon salt 
  • teaspoon vanilla extract 
  • cup sugar white

Directions

  1. Cream the butter, butter flavored shortening, and sugars.
  2. Add eggs and blend.
  3. Add peanut butter and vanilla.
  4. Add dry ingredients and stir until well blended.
  5. Measure out tablespoonfuls of dough and roll into balls.
  6. Place 3 inches apart on lightly greased cookie sheets. Make criss-cross pattern with fork.
  7. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) 8-10 minutes until set, but not hard. Do not overbake. Leave on sheets for 2 minutes before removing. Cool, and store in covered container.
