  • cup brown sugar packed
  • tablespoons butter 
  • 1.8 cups flour all-purpose
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • 0.3 cup water

Directions

  1. Mix brown sugar, butter or margarine, and water.
  2. Add flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Stir in nuts and mix well.
  3. Shape in roll 2 1/2 inches in diameter, cover and chill until firm.
  4. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  5. Cut dough into 1/8-1/4 inch slices.
  6. Bake on greased cookie sheet 8-10 minutes.
