Ingredients

  • teaspoon baking soda 
  • 0.7 cup butter 
  •  eggs 
  • cups flour all-purpose
  • teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cloves 
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg 
  • cup raisins 
  • cup rolled oats 
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • 1.3 cups water 
  • cup sugar white

Directions

  1. Boil raisins for 2 to 3 minutes, reserving raisin water.
  2. Cream margarine and sugar.
  3. Add eggs, oatmeal and 9 tablespoons raisin water.
  4. Add flour, baking soda, spices and salt. Stir in raisins.
  5. Drop by a rounded teaspoonful onto cookie sheet.
  6. Bake 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 10-12 minutes.
