Ingredients

  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper black freshly ground
  • teaspoons butter 
  • cups carrots (3-inch)
  • 0.5 cup celery chopped
  • 24 ounce chicken breast halves 
  • 0.3 cup wine dry white
  • tablespoons flour all-purpose
  • 0.3 cup parsley fresh chopped
  •  garlic clove minced
  • cup beef broth fat-free
  • 1.5 cups onion chopped
  • teaspoon paprika 
  • teaspoon poultry seasoning 
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Combine first 5 ingredients in a large zip-top plastic bag.
  2. Add chicken; toss well to coat.
  3. Remove chicken from bag; reserve flour mixture. Melt butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add chicken, breast sides down; saut 5 minutes or until chicken is browned.
  5. Remove chicken from pan; keep warm.
  6. Add onion, celery, and garlic to pan; saut 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in reserved flour mixture; cook 1 minute.
  7. Add broth and wine; bring to a boil.
  8. Add carrot. Return chicken to pan, breast sides up. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 25 minutes or until chicken is done.
  9. Sprinkle with the chopped parsley.
