  •  apples cored peeled sliced
  • 0.5 cup butter 
  • 0.5 cup flour all-purpose
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • 0.3 teaspoon ground nutmeg 
  • tablespoons juice of lemon 
  • 0.5 cup sugar white

Equipment

  • oven
  • wire rack

Directions

  1. Mix 1/2 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  2. Mix this with apples and pour into pie shell.
  3. Sprinkle lemon juice over top.
  4. Mix 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup flour, then cut in butter.
  5. Sprinkle over pie.
  6. Take two 15 inch pieces of parchment paper and enclose pie; fold edges up 3 times.
  7. Place on a baking sheet.
  8. Bake at 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) for 1 hour.
  9. Remove from oven, split parchment open and cool pie on wire rack. DO NOT open parchment covering while baking!
