Ingredients

  • 12 ounces bow-tie pasta 
  • cups broccoli florets 
  • 1.5 pounds chicken breast cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • cloves garlic minced
  • tablespoons olive oil 
  • small onion diced finely
  • 0.5 cup parmesan grated
  • cup canned tomatoes diced canned drained
  • servings salt and pepper

Directions

  1. Cook pasta in boiling salted water until al dente, about 10minutes, or as label directs; add broccoli for final 3 minutes.
  2. Drain, reserving 1 cup cooking liquid. Toss pasta and broccoli with 1 Tbsp. oil.
  3. Warm remaining oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add chicken, onion and garlic, sprinkle with salt and pepper; saut for 5 minutes.
  5. Add tomatoes; saut for 2 minutes. Toss in pasta, broccoli, Parmesan and 1/2 cup of cooking liquid.
  6. Add more liquid if dry.
