Ingredients

  • 0.3 cup brown sugar 
  • 0.3 cup butter melted
  • 1.5 teaspoon cinnamon 
  • cups cornflakes crushed
  • 16 ounces extra wide egg noodles cooked for half the cooking time
  • 12 servings lemon zest 
  • 1.5 can peaches chopped (20 To 22 Ounces Total)
  • 1.5 teaspoon salt 
  • 0.8 cups sugar 
  •  eggs whole beaten
  • cups milk whole

Directions

  1. Cook and drain noodles.
  2. Add lemon zest and butter and toss to melt the butter.
  3. Pour in sugar, salt, and cinnamon. Stir to combine.
  4. Add beaten eggs, milk, and peaches. Stir to combine. Taste and adjust seasonings, adding more salt or sugar as needed.
  5. Pour noodles---including all the liquid---into a buttered 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  6. Place the corn flakes into a large Ziploc bag. Crush them slightly. Melt butter and stir in brown sugar.
  7. Pour this in with the corn flakes and toss to combine.
  8. Sprinkle corn flakes over the top.
  9. Bake kugel for 45 minutes, or until golden brown.
  10. Serve warm.
