Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups flour all-purpose
  • cup granulated sugar 
  • 0.3 cup poppy seeds 
  • 1.3 cups milk 
  • 0.3 cup vegetable oil 
  • 3.5 teaspoons double-acting baking powder 
  • teaspoon salt 
  • teaspoon vanilla 
  •  eggs 
  • serving powdered sugar

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F. Grease bottom only of loaf pan, 9x5x3 inches.
  2. Mix all ingredients except powdered sugar in large bowl; beat 30 seconds with spoon.
  3. Pour into pan.
  4. Bake 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes. Loosen sides of loaf from pan; remove from pan to wire rack. Cool completely, about 2 hours.
  5. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
