  • cup butter 
  •  egg yolks 
  • cups flour all-purpose
  • 0.3 cup granulated sugar for decoration
  • tablespoons poppy seeds 
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • teaspoon vanilla extract 
  • 0.5 cup sugar white

Directions

  1. Cream butter, sugar, and egg yolks.
  2. Add flour, salt, poppy seeds and vanilla.
  3. Mix well. Chill dough for one hour.
  4. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
  5. Form dough into teaspoon sized balls.
  6. Place on cookie sheet and dip the bottom of a juice glass into sugar and press balls flat.
  7. Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
