  • 0.8 teaspoon double-acting baking powder 
  • 0.8 teaspoon baking soda 
  • 0.3 cup buttermilk 
  • tablespoon canola oil 
  • teaspoons powdered sugar divided
  •  eggs 
  • cup flour all-purpose
  • teaspoons juice of lemon 
  • teaspoon lemon zest grated
  • 0.3 cup yogurt plain reduced-fat
  • tablespoon poppy seeds 
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • 0.5 cup sugar 
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the first six ingredients.
  2. Combine the egg, buttermilk, yogurt, oil, lemon juice, peel and vanilla; stir into dry ingredients just until moistened.
  3. Coat six 4-in. tube pans with cooking spray and dust with 1 teaspoon confectioners' sugar. Divide batter among pans.
  4. Bake at 400° for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks. Dust with remaining confectioners' sugar.
