  • 0.5 cup brown sugar packed
  • tablespoons crème fraîche 
  • cups apples i use 2 granny smith apples cubed peeled
  • teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • tablespoons juice of lemon fresh
  • teaspoons lemon rind grated
  • cups pink lady apples cubed peeled
  • Dash salt 
  • teaspoon vanilla extract

  • dutch oven

Directions

  1. Combine first 8 ingredients in a Dutch oven over medium heat. Cook 25 minutes or until apples are tender, stirring occasionally.
  2. Remove from heat; mash to desired consistency with a fork or potato masher. Stir in crme frache.
  3. Serve warm or chilled.
