  • 32 slices crusty baguette thick
  • 16 servings pepper black freshly ground
  • tablespoons chives fresh finely chopped
  • tablespoons tarragon fresh
  • small garlic clove grated
  • tablespoons juice of lemon fresh
  • teaspoon lemon zest finely grated
  • 16  radish greens green
  • 12  radishes very thinly sliced
  • 0.5 cup butter salted room-temperature (1 stick)
  • 16 servings sea salt

  1. Mix 1/2 cup (1 stick) room-temperaturesalted butter, 5 mashed drained anchovyfillets, 1 grated small garlic clove, 3 tablespoonseach finely chopped fresh chives andfresh tarragon, 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice,and 1 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest in asmall bowl. Season with coarse sea salt andfreshly ground black pepper.
  2. Spread herb butter on one side of eachof 32 slices of baguette diagonally cut 1/8"thick. Toss 12 very thinly sliced radisheswith salt and pepper in a medium bowl. Tophalf of bread slices with 16 green radishleaves and radish slices. Top with remainingbread slices, butter side down.
