  • 0.3 teaspoon pepper black freshly ground
  • ounce fettuccine barilla refrigerated
  • tablespoons parsley fresh chopped
  •  garlic cloves minced
  •  green onions chopped
  • 0.3 cup half-and-half 
  • teaspoons olive oil 
  • ounces parmigiano-reggiano cheese grated
  • pound shrimp deveined peeled

Equipment

Directions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package directions, omitting salt and fat.
  2. Drain pasta in a colander over a bowl, reserving 1/4 cup cooking liquid.
  3. Combine shrimp, onions, and garlic in a small bowl.
  4. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Add olive oil; swirl to coat.
  6. Add shrimp mixture, and saut for 4 minutes or until shrimp are done.
  7. Remove from pan; keep warm.
  8. Reduce heat to medium.
  9. Add reserved cooking liquid, Parmigiano-Reggiano, half-and-half, cream cheese, and pepper to pan. Cook 2 minutes or until cheeses melt.
  10. Combine pasta, cheese mixture, and shrimp mixture.
  11. Sprinkle with parsley.
