  • lb bananas peeled mashed
  • 0.5 cup butter softened (1 stick)
  • tsp calumet baking powder 
  •  eggs lightly beaten
  • 1.5 cups flour 
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar 
  • tsp ground cinnamon 
  • tsp maxwell house coffee instant
  • Tbsp juice of lemon fresh
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar 
  • 0.5 tsp salt 
  • tsp water hot

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Beat butter and granulated sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy.
  2. Add bananas, egg and lemon juice; mix until well blended.
  3. Mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Gradually add to banana mixture, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Pour into greased 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  5. Bake 1 hour or until bread springs back when lightly touched. Cool 10 min.; remove from pan to wire rack. Cool completely.
  6. Dissolve instant coffee in hot water in medium bowl.
  7. Add powdered sugar; beat until well blended.
  8. Drizzle over bread.
  9. Cut into 16 slices to serve.
