  • teaspoon double-acting baking powder 
  • 0.3 cup brown sugar 
  • teaspoons cornstarch 
  • cup flour all-purpose
  • teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • 0.1 teaspoon ground nutmeg 
  • teaspoon juice of lemon fresh
  •  peaches fresh pitted peeled sliced into thin wedges
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • tablespoons butter unsalted chilled cut into small pieces
  • 0.3 cup water boiling
  • tablespoons sugar white

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine peaches, 1/4 cup white sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Toss to coat evenly, and pour into a 2 quart baking dish.
  3. Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes.

  6. Sprinkle entire cobbler with the sugar and cinnamon mixture.
  7. Bake until topping is golden, about 30 minutes.
