  • tablespoons flour all-purpose
  • 0.8 cup mushrooms fresh sliced
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic minced
  • 0.8 cup low-salt ham chopped reduced-fat
  • 0.1 teaspoon pepper 
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • 12 ounce evaporated skimmed milk canned
  • ounces pasta like spaghetti uncooked
  • ounces swiss cheese shredded divided reduced-fat finely

Directions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions, omitting salt and fat; drain and set aside.
  2. Coat a nonstick skillet with cooking spray; place over medium-high heat until hot.
  3. Add ham, mushrooms, and garlic; saute until mushrooms are tender. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper. Cook, stirring constantly, 1 minute.
  4. Add milk, and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
  5. Combine ham mixture, pasta, and 1/2 cup cheese. Spoon into a 9-inch pieplate coated with cooking spray; sprinkle with remaining cheese.
  6. Bake, uncovered, at 425 for 15 minutes.
  7. Let stand 5 minutes. Slice into wedges.
