  • cup brown sugar packed
  • tablespoons butter softened
  • large eggs 
  • 0.8 cup flour all-purpose
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground allspice 
  • teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • 0.3 teaspoon ground cloves 
  • 0.5 teaspoon nutmeg whole grated
  • 0.5 cup regular oats 
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 35
  2. Lightly spoon flour into dry measuring cups; level with a knife.
  3. Combine flour and next 7 ingredients (flour through pepper) in a medium bowl. Beat sugar, butter, and vanilla in a large bowl with a mixer at medium speed until light and fluffy.
  4. Add egg; beat well. Stir in flour mixture and oats.
  5. Drop by level tablespoons 2 inches apart onto baking sheets coated with cooking spray.
  6. Bake at 350 for 12 minutes or until crisp. Cool on pan 2 to 3 minutes or until firm.
  7. Remove cookies from pan; cool on wire racks.
