Ingredients

  • ounce pre baby bella mushrooms 
  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper black
  • tablespoon butter 
  • cups extra wide egg noodles uncooked
  • tablespoons flour all-purpose
  • teaspoon garlic minced
  • tablespoon lower-sodium soy sauce 
  • 1.5 cups lower-sodium beef broth fat-free
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • tablespoons shallots finely chopped
  •  thyme sprigs fresh
  • pound beef top sirloin steaks cut into 3/4-inch pieces

Directions

  1. Cook noodles according to package directions, omitting salt and fat; drain.
  2. While noodles cook, heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Coat pan with cooking spray.
  3. Add steak; saut 5 minutes, browning on all sides.
  4. Remove from pan; cover.
  5. Melt butter in pan over medium-high heat.
  6. Add shallots and mushrooms; saut 4 minutes.
  7. Add garlic; saut 30 seconds. Stir in soy sauce.
  8. Sprinkle flour over mushroom mixture; cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually add broth, stirring constantly.
  9. Add pepper, salt, and thyme sprigs. Bring to a boil; cook 2 minutes or until thickened. Return beef to pan; cook 1 minute or until thoroughly heated. Discard thyme sprigs.
  10. Garnish with thyme leaves, if desired.
