Ingredients

  • cup chicken broth organic swanson® (Regular, Natural or Certified )
  • tablespoon cornstarch 
  • 0.5 cup cooking wine dry white
  • servings bread french cubed
  • clove garlic halved
  • 0.3 teaspoon ground nutmeg 
  • servings ground pepper black to taste
  • tablespoon juice of lemon 
  • pound swiss cheese shredded at room temperature

  • pot

Directions

  1. Blend 1/4 cup broth into cornstarch; set aside.
  2. Rub fondue pot or saucepan with cut sides of garlic; discard garlic.
  3. Add remaining 3/4 cup broth and wine to fondue pot.
  4. Heat over medium heat until hot but not bubbling.
  5. Add lemon juice.
  6. Add cheese, a little at a time, stirring until cheese melts before adding more.
  7. Add cornstarch mixture and heat to a boil. Reduce heat and cook for 1 minute.
  8. Season with nutmeg and pepper. Keep warm.
  9. Serve with bread cubes for dipping.
