Ingredients

  • cup fries english
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda 
  • cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.7 cup butter softened
  • cups powdered sugar 
  •  eggs 
  • 2.5 cups flour all-purpose
  • tablespoons half and half 
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • 0.5 cup sugar 
  • teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla.
  3. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in toffee bits (dough will be stiff).
  4. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 in. apart onto ungreased baking sheets.
  5. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes or until firm (do not brown).
  6. In a small bowl, beat the butter, sugar, vanilla and enough cream to achieve spreading consistency.
  7. Spread on the bottom of half of the cookies; top with remaining cookies.
