Ingredients

  • 0.3 cup celery finely chopped
  • tablespoon parsley fresh chopped
  • tablespoon onion finely chopped
  • 0.1 teaspoon pepper freshly ground
  • teaspoon red wine vinegar 
  • slices cocktail rye bread 
  • 0.3 cup salad dressing 
  • 0.1 teaspoon salt 
  • 10 oz solid albacore tuna in water white drained canned
  • slices swiss cheese 
  • slices tomatoes

Directions

  1. Set oven control to broil.
  2. In medium bowl, mix tuna, mayonnaise, celery, onion, parsley, vinegar, salt and pepper.
  3. Place bread slices on baking sheet. Broil with top about 4 to 6 inches from heat 1 minute or until lightly toasted.
  4. Turn bread over on baking sheet.
  5. Spread untoasted side of each slice of bread with about 1/3 cup of the tuna salad, 1 slice of the cheese, 2 slices tomato and 1 of the remaining slice cheese. Return sandwiches to oven; broil 3 to 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
